Sculpted in slow motion.
Lagree strength training on the Megaformer, in Camarillo, California.
Slow, heavy and quiet. The shaking is the point.
Lagree is high-intensity, low-impact strength training on a spring-loaded machine. Every move is slow enough that momentum can't help you, so the muscle works for the whole set. No jumping, no pounding. Just time under tension until you shake.
How a class worksHow a class works
Four counts in, four counts out
Every rep moves at a slow, even tempo. Slowing down removes momentum and keeps the muscle under load from the first second of the set to the last.
Springs, not weights
The Megaformer's springs load you at the start of a move and ease off at the end. The work stays hard without the strain on your joints that free weights and impact bring.
Whole body, no stopping
Legs, core, arms and back in one continuous flow. You move from position to position without a break; the transitions are part of the work.

Questions, answered
Anything else, call or email the studio and a real person will get back to you.
What is Lagree?
Lagree is high-intensity, low-impact strength training done on a spring-loaded machine called the Megaformer. Movements are slow and controlled, so your muscles stay under tension for the whole set. It's hard, but it's gentle on your joints. No jumping, no running, no heavy weights.
I've never done this before. What should I expect?
Shaking, and that's normal. Arrive ten minutes early for your first class so your instructor can show you the machine and set your springs. Every move has an easier and a harder version, and you'll be cued through both. Most people feel the difference after three or four classes.
What should I wear and bring?
Fitted workout clothes you can move in (loose fabric catches on the machine), and grip socks, which are required in every class. We sell them at the front desk for $14 if you don't have a pair. Water is a good idea; the class moves without breaks.
Do I need to be fit already?
No. Every class is taught to all levels and the springs let you scale each move. Come as you are and build from there.
How old do I have to be?
You must be at least 16 to take class. Anyone under 18 needs a parent or legal guardian to sign a waiver before their first class.
When are you open?
Monday to Friday, 5 am to 8 pm. Saturday and Sunday, 7 am to 12 pm. Classes run throughout those hours; the live schedule shows exact times and open machines.
How do memberships work?
Monthly memberships give you a set number of classes each month (or unlimited), billed on the same day every month. Class credits don't roll over, so use them within the billing cycle. Month-to-month plans can be cancelled with 30 days' written notice; commitment plans run for their full term. Single classes and class packs are pay-as-you-go, and single-class credits never expire.
Can I pause my membership?
Holds are available on commitment memberships. Request one in writing at least three days before you'd like it to start, and billing resumes automatically when it ends. Email the studio and we'll set it up.
What if I need to cancel a class?
Cancel from the schedule or your account page. The cancellation window and any late-cancel or no-show fees are shown when you book, so check them before you reserve.
